I only had a few hours to explore Abu Dhabi while on a layover to Kathmandu, and I decided this mosque is the main attraction in Abu Dhabi and well worth leaving the airport to see. I was right. It is the second most beautiful building I’ve ever seen, second only to the Taj Mahal.
Trekking in Nepal is one of the most memorable and positive travel experiences I’ve ever had. My treks in Nepal were short and I certainly didn’t break any climbing records, but they were just so fun, largely in part because I had two great guides. To say, “I’m going to Bhutan” isn’t really an accurate statement. To be more accurate, you would have to say, “I’m going to experience Bhutan.” While I wouldn’t say it is still a hidden gem or and unspoiled paradise or an undiscovered land, it certainly is not your usual travel destination.

Morocco is rich with sights, sounds, smells, and colors. Never a dull moment here and some of the best food I’ve had anywhere in the world.
Turkey is a country with endless potential for wandering. Usually because even though I lived there and have visited many times, I end up getting lost, but still. Endless wanderings. You know what I mean.
